MEGAWISE 2025 Powerful Vacuum Sealer Review

Overall Verdict

At $32.38, the MegaWise VS6621 2025 is one of the cheapest vacuum sealers you can buy, and the overall score of 8.1 is the highest of any sealer at this price in our database. The usability score of 9.3 is the standout result -- a perfect score in both Safety & Noise and Indicator Lights & Chime, combined with the cleanest control panel design we've seen at this price point. It passed the sous vide test on the first attempt and runs quietly.

Suction is the acknowledged limitation. The motor doesn't pull hard enough to fully evacuate bags of dense dry food. For light everyday storage, it works. For long-term airtight freezer packing or serious food preservation, you'll want to look at the best vacuum sealers in higher price tiers.

Things We Like

  • Very compact and lightweight design, easy to store
  • Perfect score in the sous vide beef test
  • Excellent, intuitive control panel
  • Outstanding usability, including noise and indicator lights
  • Built-in bag cutter is a rare and useful bonus at this price

Things We Don’t Like

  • Max suction strength is below average, which can leave air pockets in dense dry food
  • Some crunchy food breakage during sealing

Despite its petite footprint, the MegaWise VS6621 2025 caught our attention from the moment we unboxed it. The built-in bag cutter alone sets it apart from most sealers at this price, and its one-touch "Auto" mode makes the whole sealing process as simple as it gets.

Here's everything we found after putting it through our full battery of tests in the lab.

7.3 Performance

The VS6621 2025's performance score of 7.3 tells the same story as the BonsenKitchen VS2100 in several ways: a weak suction result softened by solid food handling scores. The sous vide pass is particularly notable -- first attempt, Wet & Cold mode, clean seal. Compared to the original BonsenKitchen (3.1% crunchy breakage), the MegaWise's 22% is higher but still acceptable for a budget sealer. Both prioritize food handling over raw suction power.

5.5 Max Suction Strength

Suction Strength
44 kPA
Cycle Time

The VS6621 2025 reached 44 kPA in 15 seconds. For rice, coffee, or other fine-grained dry goods, you'll likely see some residual air. In comparison to the BonsenKitchen 2025's improved 51 kPA result, the MegaWise's lower suction shows the trade-off in this budget segment. For bulkier items with less surface contact area, the practical result is more acceptable.

7.8 Crunchy Food Breakage

Percentage of Breakage
22%

The VS6621 2025 broke 0.99 oz of the 4.5 oz input -- 22% breakage in Auto mode. That's a reasonable result for a single-mode sealer with no Gentle option. Compared to the BonsenKitchen VS2100's exceptional 3.1% breakage, the MegaWise's higher breakage reflects its stronger motor pulling harder on fragile items. Crackers and chips will see some damage, but not the near-total destruction you get from high-suction models.

The VS6621 2025 passed the sous vide test on the first attempt with a perfect score. The seal held through the full water bath without leakage. At $26, a clean first-attempt sous vide result is genuinely impressive -- and the dedicated Wet & Cold mode suggests MegaWise designed specifically for this use case.

8.2 Design

The MegaWise VS6621 2025 has a clean and well-considered design that belies its low price. The build quality is solid for a compact sealer, the lid mechanism is straightforward and reliable, and the control panel is genuinely the best we've evaluated in this category. A built-in bag cutter adds to its practical appeal, though the absence of bag hooks and a drip tray keeps it from scoring higher in extra features.

The MegaWise VS6621 2025 is one of the most compact vacuum sealers in our database. Its slim, narrow profile means it takes up minimal counter space and can be tucked into a drawer or cabinet with ease. At just 2.3 pounds, it's also one of the lightest sealers we've tested, so moving it in and out of storage is effortless. If you're working with a small kitchen or limited storage, the VS6621 2025 is one of the best options available.

For an ultra-affordable, compact sealer, the MegaWise VS6621 2025 is well put together. The outer shell is made entirely from ABS plastic, which gives it a lightweight feel, but the panels fit together tightly with no gaps, creaking, or wobble. The grey finish is clean and unfussy – it won't win any awards for aesthetics, but it doesn't look cheap either.

The interior is straightforward. The vacuum channel is lined with a foam gasket strip that forms a dependable seal when the lid is lowered, and the heating bar runs the full width of the channel. Our reviewers didn't uncover any obvious manufacturing defects or quality control issues on our test unit. All things considered, the build inspires reasonable confidence for day-to-day use.

The MegaWise VS6621 2025 has one of the best control panels we've seen among affordable vacuum sealers, and it earned a perfect score as a result. Where most budget sealers resort to labyrinthine rows of buttons to cover different modes, MegaWise has stripped things back to a single food mode selector that you can use to switch between "Dry," "Moist," “Wet,” and "Wet & Cold."

There’s also a bag type selector that lets you change between “Thin,” “Medium,” and “Thick” bags.

Depending on how you’d like to use the sealer, there are three buttons corresponding to “Vac Seal” – which will vacuum, then seal the bag in one go. “Seal” for when you only need to crimp one end of a bag cut out from a roll. Or “Vac Pulse”, which will vacuum for as long as you hold down the button (also doubles as a “Stop” button).

There’s no ambiguity at all on the control panel, which makes the sealer accessible to complete beginners, and speeds up the workflow considerably when you're batch-sealing a lot of food.

9.0 Lid

Latch lock

The MegaWise VS6621 2025 uses a simple latch lock system. Press down on either side of the lid and the latches click cleanly into place – the mechanism is consistent, requires only moderate force, and doesn't require you to hunt for the sweet spot the way some budget sealers do. Releasing the lid is equally simple, with a pair of buttons on either side of the unit.

The hinges feel solid and keep the lid from shifting when you lift or lower it. Our reviewers had no trouble operating it one-handed, which is a notable improvement over many of the other budget models we've tested.

4.0 Extra Features

Bag Cutter

Bag Holder
No
Bag Hooks

Removable Drip Tray
No

The MegaWise VS6621 2025 earns its points in this section thanks to its built-in bag cutter, a practical touch that's rare among sealers at this price. The cutter is mounted at one end of the unit and lets you trim bag rolls to whatever length you need without hunting for scissors. It works cleanly and consistently.

Beyond that, the VS6621 2025 doesn't offer much in the way of extras. There's no internal bag roll holder, so you'll need to manage your bag rolls separately. Bag hooks are also absent, which can make it slightly tricky to align the bag lip in the vacuum channel precisely. These are expected omissions at this price point, but worth keeping in mind.

9.3 Usability

The MegaWise VS6621 2025 achieves the highest usability score of any sealer in this price range that we've tested. The three-button control panel makes it exceptionally easy to operate, safety features are thorough, and the indicator lights are among the best we've seen. Noise is impressively low for a sealer with this much suction capability.

9.0 Ease of Use

Using the MegaWise VS6621 2025 is about as straightforward as vacuum sealing gets. Select the food mode that matches what you're sealing, insert the bag, close the lid, and the sealer takes care of the rest. First-time users will be up and running within minutes – the button labels are self-explanatory and there's no sequence of steps to memorize.

The lid latches reliably without excessive force, and the compact form factor means the sealer stays put on the countertop during operation. The main limitation is the absence of bag hooks, which means inserting the bag requires a bit of care to make sure the open end sits squarely in the vacuum channel. With some practice, this becomes second nature, but it's a minor inconvenience in the beginning.

10 Safety & Noise

Maximum Noise Level

The MegaWise VS6621 2025 earned a perfect safety and noise score. On the safety front, the interior of the sealer is well-marked, with a clear warning sticker across the heating bar alerting users to the hot surface – a thoughtful detail that's not universal among budget sealers. The foam gasket and channel design also prevent liquid from reaching the motor in the event of minor leakage during moist food sealing.

On noise, the VS6621 2025 is genuinely quiet for a sealer at this performance level, recording some of the lower readings in our current test batch. If you're sealing food early in the morning or in an open-plan kitchen, the low noise output is a real practical benefit.

10 Indicator Lights and Chime

Number of Indicators
10 (4 food-mode, 3 bag type, 1 vac seal, 1 seal, 1 vac seal/stop)
Progress Bar
Yes
Chime
Yes

The MegaWise VS6621 2025 earned a perfect score here, and deservedly so.

Each of the buttons has its own indicator light that illuminates when selected, so it's always clear which mode is active. On top of that, the sealer includes both a progress indicator and an audible chime that sounds when the sealing cycle is complete – a combination that none of the other budget sealers in our current review set can match.

The chime in particular is a quality-of-life feature that makes the sealer feel noticeably more polished than its price tag would suggest. You won't need to stand over it watching for the cycle to end. Just listen for the beep.
