The Best Moen Kitchen Faucets of 2024 Buyer’s Guide & Reviews
Among the many brands on the market, Moen’s kitchen faucets consistently represent the top quality the industry has to offer. Known worldwide for their premium builds and high-end designs, Moen faucets are popular recommendations for those willing to pay. After evaluating more than a dozen faucets from different brands, Moen’s superior quality is obvious.
Take, for instance, the Moen Arbor 7594E Two-Sensor MotionSense or the Sleek 7864EW Wave MotionSense. Beyond their incredibly useful hands-free control, they easily outshine others in our collection with their dense, high-quality materials and convenient features. Even simpler models like the Arbor 7594 or Adler 87233 are still plenty better than the numerous generic faucets found online.
Admittedly, they are more expensive in general, which can be deal-breakers for some. But, speaking from experience, long-lasting builds and skilled craftsmanship typically come at a higher price.
Everything we recommend
For a true touchless experience, this old model is one of the best even by today’s standards. With two motion sensors, premium build quality, and convenient features, its design brings plenty of utility to the kitchen and is definitely worth considering.
The faucet looks like a scaled-down version of the high-arc Arbor 7594, with similarly high construction quality in both materials and craftsmanship. However, this is one of the smaller kitchen faucets, making it suitable for tighter spaces.

Best Overall
For a true touchless experience, this old model is one of the best even by today’s standards. With two motion sensors, premium build quality, and convenient features, its design brings plenty of utility to the kitchen and is definitely worth considering.
- Hands-free experience.
- Sleek design
- Long, flexible, self-retract hose
- Spot Resist finish
- High arc
- Pricy
Features: MotionSense, Reflex, Power Clean, Spot Resist finish (optional)
Regarded by a large portion of the community as one of the most well-rounded products out of Moen’s varied kitchen faucet collections, the Moen Arbor 7594e is a touchless pull-down faucet that is doubtlessly worth the top spot of the list.
Reasonable pricing, usability, technology, and aesthetics all coming together in one piece of work, we can firmly state that Moen has designed a faucet that is now one of the best kitchen faucets on the market.
No touching!...
First off, we have to take a look at the MotionSense - Moen exclusive touchless technology, more specifically the two-sensor version.
One sensor functions at the highest vertical point of the spout - called the wave sensor, which activates when movements are detected. Wave once to turn the water on and again to turn it off. Basically, a hands-free… handle.
Another one is at the base, near the swivel joint, serving as a ready-sensor. it activates when there is an object present in front of it. When that object pulls away, it’ll automatically deactivate, much like - and I think you guessed it - bathroom hands-free fixtures.
...but if you have to…
There is, of course, a handle as well for such cases where you don’t feel like doing waterbending techniques. The handle is with standard functions of a quality faucet. It also lets you control the water force and temperature when the water is run by the sensors.
It will, once again, come in handy when the sensors unexpectedly malfunction or the batteries run out. All in all, a faucet without a handle is something that I personally would not trust.
The spout and sprayhead
Pull-down faucets are no longer a thing of wonders like it once was, but it remains one of the best kitchen pieces of decor thanks to the reach and the angle play. What’s convenient about the Moen Arbor 7594e, or pretty much all Moen pull-down faucets, is the high arc, the flexible braided hose, the retractable head, and the secure docking.
Retractable heads, though expected to operate smoothly for a long time, are never as good as advertised, especially with the docking. After a certain amount of time, if it’s not treated with care, accidents and negative effects of traction at certain parts are inevitable.
To me, retractability is not completely about how it can retract by itself but more about the force lent to help lead the thing back into place without forceful shoving. We have to understand that the whole thing is just an exploitation of gravity. So the safest way to keep your faucets long-lasting is to be gentle.
All that said, the spout is perfectly good, nonetheless. The arc is high enough for big and deep pots; the hose and its build is engineered to be remarkably bendable; the head is securely docked and is with two common modes, namely stream and spray, and a pause button (in case you’re a few feet away - 68” at maximum - from the sink.)
The skin and warranty
And by “skin” I mean the finishes. The best finishes for kitchen fixtures are of course the ones that can stand against stains and such. Particularly with this product, oil rubbed bronze and Spot Resist stainless are the two for that purpose and for looking gorgeous as well.
Unlike the stainless steel which possesses a more modern shade of a finish, oil rubbed bronze gives out a classic vibe with a shiny, rusty hue of bronze. While it’s not exactly anti-stain, marks can be cleaned off much effortlessly.
Finally, the Arbor 7594e is covered with a lifetime limited warranty as long as the original purchaser owns their home. Additionally, digital components are also warranted for up to 5 years.

Moen Arbor 7294 Pullout Faucet
Best Pull-out
The faucet looks like a scaled-down version of the high-arc Arbor 7594, with similarly high construction quality in both materials and craftsmanship. However, this is one of the smaller kitchen faucets, making it suitable for tighter spaces.
Features: Power Clean, Spot resist (optional)
Another model from the famous and popular Abor collection: the Moen Arbor pull-out kitchen faucet 7294. The sleek appearance and unique handle design make for the signature look of the collection - a look that can easily go with a variety of kitchen decor.
My personal style of choice for kitchen faucets is always the pull-down. I, myself, have much use for the high-arc and find the vertical length to be quite elegant.
Still, that is not to wholly disregard pull-out faucets. In a small kitchen with considerably limited counter and sink space, a compact faucet is, of course, the optimal choice. It also depends on your own preference on design and usability.
While not equipped with fancy technologies, the Moen Arbor 7294 is still a pull-out kitchen faucet with all the functions that can easily ease your daily kitchen routine. Straightforward and money-saving.
No Reflex, but still retracts
As the name suggests, the headwand can be pulled out to the maximum reach of 59” - more than enough for a small kitchen and not lacking for a spacious one.
Unlike Moen pull-downs, pull-outs don’t need Reflex to help the wand and hose retract, thanks to the nature of the wand placement in design. However, I doubt it will automatically get drawn back if you pull it too far out. Something to keep in mind.
The wand also features 2 spraying modes and one pause button for specific uses. You have the normal aerated stream, and the Power Clean powered spray mode for faster clean up.
Finish and warranty
Regarding finish, there are four available choices: chrome, matte black, oiled rubbed bronze and Spot Resist stainless. As discussed earlier, the ideal option would be a finish that is stain-resistant and looks good while being so, which is not entirely impossible.
Besides the oil rubbed bronze and Spot Resist stainless for potential candidates, matte black could also be a pretty nice choice.
It’s especially known for its ability to hide scratches and perhaps most importantly, its own unique look. However, oil and smudges are easily visible without regular maintenance. So, be mindful with your choice of finish.

Moen Arbor 7594 Kitchen Faucet
Best Rated
With a sleek, high-arc design and a pulldown sprayer, the faucet should appeal to those who want something elegant and effective. Its premium build quality, combined with clever details and useful water functions, makes for an all-around package.
- Sleek design
- Long, flexible, self-retract hose
- Spot Resist finish
- High arc
- Various finishes
- No handsfree tech
Features: Reflex, Power Boost, Spot Resist finish (optional)
You have no idea how hard I’ve tried to find a top-selling Moen kitchen faucet that is not from the Arbor. The collection is simply tough to beat. I came really close with the Moen Brantford 7185, but in the end, the Arbor 7594 is slightly better.
The Brantford, owning a unique frame with a touch of the classic-tap vibe in opposition to the modern feel of the Arbor, would surely make for a not-any-less-attractive choice.
The Arbor 7594, in short, is simply the Arbor 7594e but with Power Boost instead of Power Clean, and MotionSense excluded. Plus, the 7594 has a finish option that the 7594e lacks, which is the matte black (because the sensors of the MotionSense is already black).
Power Boost and Reflex
Power Boost lets the user choose between the normal stream/spray and the 50% boosted force with only a push of a button right on the sprayer.
And 50% means a lot!
It means you can fill up containers with half the time; it means you can spray-clean your kitchenware and appliances better; and it means the water is used in a more efficient manner.
However, the power-boosted spray of Power Boost is no longer the top choice for cleaning and rinsing, not now that there is Power Clean, with many more concentrated spray streams for better performance overall. Nonetheless, the faster filling for pots and the sorts is still a nice feature to have around the kitchen.
Finish and warranty
Finishes will play a bigger part now that MotionSense is not available. One of the perks of hands-free faucets is that buildup transferred from our hands is a definitely smaller problem. Less touching, less smudging. Science!
Now that we have to control the water with the handle all the time, Spot Resist stainless is certainly one up on the other coatings. Although that’s true, with a bit of care, the spotless look of oil rubbed bronze and matte black can be preserved still for a long while still.

Moen 5923 One-Handle Kitchen Faucet
Best Commercial Style
If you’re a fan of the industrial look of commercial faucets, this model features a high-quality spring neck and impressive water pressure output. Although it’s quite tall, the extending sprayer still allows for easy maneuvering close to the sink.
- Really high-arc
- Long, flexible, retractable hose
- Robust frame
- Pricy
- Too high for some kitchens
Features: Power Clean, long hose (for commercial style), Spot Resist finish (optional)
For those who would enjoy the look of industrial/ professional products in their home kitchen, the Moen Align 5923 is doubtlessly worth considering.
The quality structure and strong water force are the essences of commercial taps. This commercial style kitchen faucet, although built for home use, is designed to keep that essence, but with a few twitches to make it more household friendly.
Dimensions
The size and build of the actual commercial taps are quite substantial in order to withstand the immense water pressure and heavy-duty use of commercial demands, and definitely not suitable for a family kitchen. That’s why commercial-style faucets tend to be more compact because the needs are different for a house.
Regardless, commercial style faucets are still comparatively big. The Moen Align 5923 is 22.50” high and its spout-reach is 10” long, occupying more vertical room than most pull out faucets (about 15” high). So make sure that your counter is spacious enough before confirming a purchase.
Power Clean and the hose
To meet the expected water pressure of a commercial faucet, Power Clean is indeed featured. Keep in mind that commercial water use is much different. The water force is at least a few times stronger than that of home use.
With that given, Power Clean is, therefore, possibly the perfect technology for Moen Align 5923. You’ll have just enough force to rinse, to wash and to clean with the minimum splash; plus, water is used in a much more preserving manner.
Another thing that is interesting about the faucet is the long braided hose. Most commercial-style kitchen faucets on the market have the average hose-length of 22”. Guess how long this one is? It’s 68”! Three times as much. You will have unbelievable flexibility with this particular commercial style faucet.
The hose can also retract itself quite nicely. The counterweight, in unison with the docking, make the whole experience more convenient.
A small tip: when done using, lead the hose (not the joint of the sprayhead) into the docking grooves, release and let the counterweight do the rest.
Finish and warranty
I think by now you’ve had your own understanding of the importance of finishes, so I’m not going to address that again. What’s worth noting is that the chrome version is, at the time of writing, on sale.
There are the matte black and the Spot Resist stainless as well if you fancy. My personal preference is the matte black. A fully black commercial style faucet is quite striking to my eyes.
Moen Align 5923 is covered with a Moen standard lifetime limited warranty.

Why do people like Moen?
1. The company’s history
Let’s go back to 1937 when a young Alfred M. Moen jumped back in panic as the hot water bursted out of a malfunction classic two-handle faucet and burned his hand. That, people, is where the idea of single-handle mixing faucet, and the passion that would later revolutionize faucet designs, were rooted.
Over the next decade, Al Moen continuously made improvements to his designs. In 1947, he found financial support and began the manufacture of the first ever Moen faucets. By the time of post-WWII building boom, the single-handle faucets would be found in many, many US households.
Alfred Moen himself held some 75 invention patents and was nominated for the National Inventors Hall of Fame. He was also named to the Kitchen & Bath Industry Hall of Fame in 1993.
Moen is loved by a large portion of the US population, not just for the products’ quality, but also because the company and its path to the high status of today represents a part of a bigger image, of the American original ideas, of the American dream.
2. Utilities
History of an organization, albeit reflective and therefore important, is irrelevant if the successors fail to live up to their expected role. Fortunately, Moen is not the case. There’s a reason why the brand is still growing strong (they just celebrated their 75-year anniversary in 2014.)
It has a lot to do with the efforts Moen puts in their production as well as innovations. It seems like Al Moen’s legacy lives on. Let’s take a look at the technologies that Moen kitchen faucets have to offer.
3. MotionSense (MS)
There are two types of sensors that Moen adapts to their products: wave sensors and ready sensors.
The wave sensor works, in a way, the same as a handle. You wave past the sensor to activate the stream and wave one more time to deactivate it.
The ready sensor, on the other hand, is different, yet familiar all the same. It activates when there’s something in front of it and deactivates when that something pulls away, much like sensors equipped in bathroom hands-free fixtures.
4. Power Clean
We know all too well that, sometimes, butter or cheese based foods can be tough to clean. A normal stream with moderate force is simply not strong enough. With the concentrated spray of Moen’s Power Clean, cleaning up is much faster and more efficient, resulting in less time and water consumed for the task.
5. Reflex
Retractable, flexible hose and secure docking for the pray head are what Reflex offers.
A long hose that can retract itself is not something too revolutionary of kitchen faucets. What stands out is the finesse of the retraction, the flexibility of the hose and the tightness of the docking grooves that house the sprayhead.
6. Spot resist finish
Moen introduced the Spot Resist technology for Brushed Nickel and Stainless finishes about ten years ago. Since then, products with said technology have seen many positive reviews for the ability to stand against the test of time.
Fun fact: Moen introduced Spot Resist in the same year the company was selected as the WaterSense Manufacturer Partner of the Year (2010).
7. Customer care
Another plus for Moen is their care policy. Over the long years of development, Moen has scored itself many loyal customers thanks to the dedication to production and attentive attitude in service.
And such virtues can still be spotted through consumer reviews on forums and retail websites. It’s rather easy to happen upon a praise on the company’s quality service and product than a critical remark.
“...I had to wait a while to talk to someone but once I got someone on the line I had amazing customer service both times I called,” said a satisfied consumer.
Admittedly, there ARE negative feedbacks on how Moen customer department failed to assist users in need. However, it’s good to keep in mind that things are rarely perfect, and mistakes are prone to happen. The deciding factor is whether they happen frequently or not. Considering how well Moen is trusted, it’s safe to say that the odds are in our favor.
