Overall Verdict

The Waterdrop WD-FC-06 is one of our database's best faucet-mount water filters. 

Besides having a perfect chlorine filtration score (it was able to cleanse highly-chlorinated water until a water test kit couldn’t find any trace of chlorine anymore), it also has one of the highest flow rate records in filtering mode. Specifically, the WD-FC-06 can produce clean water at a blistering rate of 1.3 GPM when attached to a high-pressure faucet (2.2 GPM.)

Combined with a well-built and gorgeous design, the Waterdrop WD-FC-06 is one of the best faucet-mount water filters we’ve tested by far.

On the other hand, the PUR Plus FM2500V’s performance is more modest. Though it scored just as well as the Waterdrop WD-FC-06 in the chlorine test, it fell behind in the flow rate test. In fact, the PUR FM2500V failed this test portion with a recorded flow rate of only 0.3 GPM (well below our minimum threshold of 0.5 GPM to pass the test.)

In terms of design, both models look just as good as the other, with the PUR FM2500V standing out a bit more due to its unique design.

But overall, if you’re looking for a good faucet-mount water filter with both the performance and the look to go with it … we recommend the Waterdrop WD-FC-06 over the PUR FM2500V.
