Culligan FM-25 Faucet vs PUR PLUS (PFM350V) Side-by-Side Comparison
Overall Verdict
Although the PUR Plus PFM350V doesn’t have the sturdy glossy metallic design of the Culligan FM-25, the plastic housing also feels really solid in hand. PUR has also done a great job designing the water filter to look beautiful mounted on the kitchen faucet. The filter doesn’t look cheap at all despite the plastic housing!
The performance of both filters is excellent. Both models could filter out all traces of chlorine in our test.
But the PUR PFM350V’s scoring suffered from having a very low filtering flow rate. At a dead slow 0.44 GPM, it’s one of the slowest-working models in our database and one of the few that failed the flow rate test.
As a result, if you have a high-pressure faucet in your kitchen and want to keep your tap water flowing quickly, the Culligan FM-25 will be a more compelling option.
But note that even the Culligan FM-25 — with a recorded flow rate of 0.5 GPM — is only passable in terms of flow rate. If you’re looking for a faucet filter with a high flow rate, we recommend looking into either the Waterdrop WD-FC-01 or WD-FC-06.
