Cuisinart TOB-40N vs Breville Smart Oven Pro Side-by-Side Comparison

Overall Verdict
The overall scores between the Cuisinart TOB-40N and the Breville Smart Oven Pro (BOV845BSS) aren’t vastly different, but the latter is still the clear winner.
The TOB-40N is a standard medium-sized unit with only the basic features plus a slide-out crumb tray. On the other hand, with a larger footprint and higher price, the Smart Oven Pro has all the fancy extras that the Cuisinart doesn't.
The Breville has various cooking presets and additional toggle switches including internal lighting, convection, temperature conversion, and frozen foods. It also has a non-stick interior for easy cleaning which is a rare feature.
Surprisingly, however, their performance scores don’t differ much. For what they’re worth, the Cuisinart scored quite high while the Breville did so quite low.
With the same power output, they had similar scores in toasting bread, roasting whole chicken, and baking pizza. The Breville only gained a small advantage when it came to baking fries—a test benefiting from having convection.
