COMFEE CFO-BB101 vs Cuisinart TOA-60 Toaster Oven Side-by-Side Comparison
Overall Verdict
It wasn’t much of a battle regarding performances between the COMFEE CFO-BB101 and the Cuisinart TOA-60. The latter is our choice for the best medium-sized countertop convection toaster oven — the main reason being its consistently excellent results.
The Comfee has a low power rating of 1000 W, two quartz heating elements, and no convection system. These may have impeded its ability to perform in cooking dishes that require a high temperature (> 400°F) like fries, pizza, and toast. The fact that the oven was able to roast a whole chicken well, which only requires 350°F, further reinforced our speculation.
The Cuisinart has 6 nichrome heating elements, 1800 Watts of power, and a strong convection system producing a steady and stable internal temperature. Nonetheless, it takes a long time at a high temperature for the Cuisinart’s exterior to get hot, unlike the Comfee.
Although both have a simple design, the Comfee has the added touch of a neat detachable crumb tray while the Cuisinart has a slide-out one. While both use analog control dials, the Cuisinart’s is significantly more reliable in terms of precision.
The COMFEE CFO-BB101 is for you if you don’t want to invest too much money and kitchen counter space but still get a toaster oven that does the job and saves energy. If you do want to invest, however, we recommend the Cuisinart TOA-60 which is a sturdy, durable, and high-performing unit.
