By , , and ·Updated
Eventek ET312 vs Smart Sensor AS530 Infrared Thermometer Gun

Overall Verdict

The Eventek ET312 stands out as one of the top performers in our infrared thermometer review project. In contrast, the Smart Sensor AS530 has shown some of the poorest performances to date.

To be more precise, our benchmark awards the Eventek ET312 an impressive total performance score of 8.2 out of 10. On the other hand, the Smart Sensor AS530 received a score of only 4.8, primarily due to its failure in the cold test involving ice.

While the Smart Sensor AS530 receives a higher score in the design category, thanks to its slightly more rugged housing, brighter laser emitter, and screen panel, we still cannot recommend it over the Eventek infrared thermometer. The Eventek's overall performance and reliability outweigh any advantages of the Smart Sensor AS530's design.
