High Carbon German Engineered Blade
The Imarku chef’s knife boasts a high carbon stainless steel German-engineered blade. The Imarku blade steel has a carbon content of between 0.6 to 0.75%. This is twice as hard as a regular stainless-steel blade which contains around 0.3%. The blade also contains up to 18% chrome, making it corrosion free and tarnish resistant.
Overall the knife measures 13 inches. That’s 5 inches of handle and 8 inches of blade. It has a Rockwell Hardness score of between 56 and 58— not one of the hardest out there but it’s also less prone to chipping than harder blades. The blade is stamped rather than forged.
