Can the Igloo Portable Ice Maker be used continuously, or does it need breaks to prevent overheating?

I plan to use the ice maker frequently and for long periods. Can it handle continuous use, or does it need to be turned off periodically to prevent overheating? What’s your experience with its durability under heavy use?

We found this Igloo to be a sub-standard machine. It took a long time to make ice and the ice quality was rather poor. There are better machines to choose from such as the Frigidaire EFIC189 or the VIVOHOME Automatic Ice Maker.
