SunrisePro Supreme Manual vs Wamery 4-Stage Manual Side-by-Side Comparison

Overall Verdict
Despite having only one sharpening slot, the SunrisePro Supreme worked faster than most and better than many, including the Wamery. It would have garnered a higher performance score than the Wamery’s if it hadn’t been so aggressive on the knife edge. The Wamery, meanwhile, is no underdog: It’s also among the fastest sharpeners and its material retention score is second only to one other (the PriorityChef).
The SunrisePro has a sturdier construction and more solid build. However, it suffers from the selectivity of its suction base, which refuses to work on any surface that isn’t completely flat and clean. Given its small size too, it just isn’t practical to use it when the suction base doesn’t work. The Wamery, while looking rather awkward, doesn’t have that issue. Its substantial size and the conventional grip and base offer much better security.
Between the two, the Wamery is easier to use and offers a more well-rounded performance—arguably the two most important criteria when picking a sharpener.
