The SunrisePro Supreme has its limitations, but we’d pick it over the Zwilling 4-stage manual sharpener any day.
The SunrisePro Supreme has a small, but strong and solid cylinder-shaped body with a thick suction base. It features only one sharpening slot, with tungsten carbide blades as abrasives. The sharpener is a bit tricky to use and it’s rigorous on the knife’s edge; however, it gets the job done quickly and effectively, as a convenience sharpener should.
The Zwilling boasts a much more substantial build and all the gadgetry, but struggles to turn all these extras into practical use. It’s not only slower, but also couldn’t achieve the level of sharpness produced by the SunrisePro. The only consolation was that the Zwilling produced a much finer edge, but we certainly expected a lot more for its price.
