Kraus Bolden Kitchen Faucet Review
Overall Verdict
With a wide range of utility, the Kraus Bolden has always been an interesting commercial style pull-down faucet. Aside from its far-reaching sprayer and a 180-degree swiveling spout, the pulldown kitchen faucet enjoys strong output pressure and a responsive spring neck that enhances the reach of the sprayer. Most importantly, it’s not at all expensive for what it has to offer. For certain demographics, the 180-degree swivel and tough-to-clean body design may be an issue, but with all fairness, this is easily one of the better products on the market.
Things We Like
- Flexible reach
- High-quality build
- Easy to install
Things We Don’t Like
- 180-degree swivel
- Hard to clean
Boasting a sleek look and high-quality construction, the faucet is said to serve well with its practical design, enjoying an extendable sprayer and flexible movement. Moreover, the faucet is without bells and whistles, featuring stream water mode as the default and spray mode as the alternative.
7.0 Performance
The Kraus Bolden is one of the few faucets we’ve tested that doesn’t mind low water pressure, meaning that its water functions remain unaffected. Most pull-down faucets don't do too well with low pressure, especially more expensive models.
7.0 Low Pressure Test
This faucet performs incredibly well at a low-pressure point which puts it in the top 3 best-performing models for this category. Although this may not seem much of a surprise, but “commercial style” faucets don’t always yield satisfying output flowrate.
8.7 Design
The Kraus Bolden KPF-1610 faucet combines quality construction and solid craftsmanship. Featuring a flexible spring neck body, it offers high maneuverability for daily tasks. The commercial-style design ensures a sleek, modern look, while the robust build guarantees long-lasting reliability. Beyond its high-arc spout and ergonomic sprayer head, the Kraus Bolden is crafted with top-grade materials, ensuring wear resistance and making it a stylish and functional choice for any kitchen.

- Kraus Bolden KPF-1610
- User manual
- Mounting accessories
The kitchen faucet has the simplest set up that we’ve examined, with less than five pieces of mounting accessories. The faucet also comes already assembled, all of what’s left to do is install it.
9.0 Body Design
The faucet has a smooth, 180-degree rotation with a bendable coiled neck that adds to the sprayer’s range. There’s nothing too special about the Bolden’s design, but its well-crafted industrial look immediately captures your attention. One thing to note is that keeping the faucet clean can be a challenge due to the gaps of the spring design, despite it coming off rather easily comes cleaning time. The faucet is available in Chrome, Stainless Steel, Matte Black, Black Stainless Steel on Matte Black, Champagne Bronze on Matte Black, and many other options.
9.5 Sprayer Design
The faucet features a neat, high-quality sprayer with one of the best designs we’ve tested, which is comfortable to hold and integrated with a responsive button. The rocker button has clear embossed symbols that show the two water modes. Water will also automatically switch back to streaming every time the faucet is turned on. That said, the docking arm could use some improvement for a better experience.
8.5 Build Quality
The Kraus Bolden faucet showcases a sturdy construction, reflected in its balanced weight, which speaks to the quality of its materials. The spout swivels smoothly and feels steady during use, adding to its reliable functionality. A close look reveals the attention to details on the components, including the sprayer, spring neck, and mixer base, all contributing to its durable and refined design.

7.2 Usability
The Kraus Bolden Commercial Style faucet offers solid utility, making it a strong choice if you want simplicity and functionality. Its non-restricted movement and flexible pull-down sprayer are undeniably useful to any kitchen. Moreover, the faucet’s setup is DIY-friendly, so the installation process is one of the quickest we’ve evaluated.
8.0 Sprayer
The sprayer has a good reach that should work with most standard kitchen sinks. The ball joint, together with the bending neck, offers much versatility to the faucet’s overall accessibility. The retraction mechanism provides satisfying momentum, though the design requires manually guiding the sprayer onto the docking arm. Besides, the sharp edges of the dock may scratch the sprayer if not careful.
6.0 Control
Although there’s nothing outstanding about the faucet’s single handle, especially when compared to other faucets with electronic controls, it remains a solid and reliable feature. It’s fair to say this is one the aspects that highlight the quality of the faucet. Adding to that, the use of a standard 35mm ceramic valve allows for easy replacement, as it is widely available.
8.0 Installation
Installing the faucet is a quick and easy process, with very few components and tools involved. It’s not the simplest installation we’ve seen, but it’s certainly right up there in terms of DIY-friendliness.
