Delta Lenta Touch2O Kitchen Faucet

Overall Verdict

The Delta Faucet Lenta 19802TZ-DST is a fantastic kitchen faucet for either the modern or conventional kitchens. Its utility improves upon issues that usually arise with standard spouts without overcomplicating the design. Other than convenient features such as LED temperature indicator and touch activation, the faucet also has magnetic docking for the sprayer and incredible construction quality.

Save for a few flaws that might tick the critic in each of us, such as the initial learning curve to Touch2O, the biggest issue with the Lenta is its cost. Frankly, quality control calls for some investment, but for the average homeowner, that’s still a potential dealbreaker.

Things We Like

  • High-quality build
  • Magnetic docking
  • 360-degree swivel
  • Easy to clean
  • Touch control
  • LED temperature indicator

Things We Don’t Like

  • High-cost
  • Touch control requires getting-used-to
  • Numbers of components

The sleek appearance of this Lenta faucet easily catches the eye, mixing minimalism with bold details. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, its craftsmanship, attention to detail, and convenient features warrant some consideration if you’re looking for a long-lasting hand-sfree kitchen faucet.

5.0 Performance

One thing for sure, you don’t want the Lenta or any faucet of the same tier on low water pressure. At anything weaker than 40 psi, ShieldSpray won’t even work properly, and water will drip more than spray. If you can’t really improve the water pressure, there are other more suitable options.

5.0 Low Pressure Test

Pressure
40 psi
Time
30 sec
Flow Rate
0.8 gpm (3.1 L/min)

The faucet can be quite slow relative to the others we’ve also examined, such as the Kraus Bolden or the Kohler 596 Simplice. But whether that’s a real issue or not depends on your routine.

9.6 Design

The Delta Faucet Lenta Kitchen Faucet, aside from its dashing looks, offers a wide range of utility. From touch control and LED temperature indicator and exclusively designed water mode for more effective rinsing. The 360-degree swiveling body is always a nice plus, and the pull-down sprayer is fantastic to mess around with, despite its minor flaws.

Moreover, the faucet is meticulously constructed, and the difference is evident when compared to others of lesser quality. More specifically, how the Lenta uses magnets to lock its body with the sprayer results in one of the sleekest designs we’ve seen on any faucet.

  • User manuals
  • Mounting accessories
  • Electronic accessories

If you haven’t installed a kitchen faucet or just haven’t seen one out of the box, you’re going to have a hard time here, more so for the non-technical type. Despite the fact that Delta Faucet packages the components neatly, the Lenta has a lot of them, including mounting accessories for the faucet and electronics for the Touch2O control.

You will also find a shaft wrench, an aerator wrench, and check valves, along with a user manual. Information as to how you may install the Lenta properly and how to use Touch2O can be found in the book.

10 Body Design

Easy Cleaning
Yes
Swivel
360 degrees

The faucet has a smooth, 360-degree rotating full body, and compared to the spring-neck spouts that are all over the market, the Lenta is more preferable to us as it’s much easier to keep clean.

Plus, the way the cylindrical spout goes into a more rectangular base has a unique aesthetic to it. With the version that we have, the Champagne Bronze finishing coat further extends the character. That faucet also comes in Chrome, Matte Black, and Brushed Nickel.

9.5 Sprayer Desig

Symbols
Yes
Button Quality
Moderate

As far as pull-down faucet goes, the Lenta is often top-tier in terms of design and quality. Specifically, the faucet’s sprayer is nicely constructed with thick plating and high-tier materials. The buttons have clear embossed symbols that indicate the faucet’s three water modes.

When the sprayer is attached to the body, the magnetic docking secures it in place, even when you’re swiveling the spout. The only flaw about the Lenta’s sprayer is the make of the buttons, which to our opinion should be more comfortable to use.

9.5 Build Quality

Delta Lenta Touch2O Kitchen Faucet Build Quality

The Lenta from Delta Faucet is easily one of the most well-built kitchen faucets we’ve examined. From its weight, you can tell that the visually thick casing is genuine. The faucet would have received a perfect score from us if the touch control and the handle were a little better. If you’ve never tried this Touch2O technology before, chances are it’s going to frustrate you a little at the beginning.

Adding to that, the handle feels slightly janky after some time. It’s not poorly made—could even be intentional—but it’s not something you’d want to experience on such a high-end faucet.

8.5 Usability

Offering a wide range of utility, from LED temperature indicator to specialized spray mode, the Lenta kitchen faucet is tough to beat in terms of functionality. Its versatile control and well-designed pull-down sprayer makes it an incredibly helpful addition to any kitchen. That said, the operation around touch control can feel a little non-intuitive at first, but it does get better over time as you get used to the sensitivity threshold.

8.3 Sprayer

Delta Lenta Touch2O Kitchen Faucet Sprayer

The Lenta has three main functions: stream, spray, and ShieldSpray. Unlike other standard faucets, the Lenta’s unique spray mode comes from using two concentrated groups of nozzles instead of a circle of nozzles. This helps create a stronger, more focused force for rinsing.

Delta Faucet’s exclusive ShieldSpray is also designed specifically for rinsing, with one single powerful stream. However, although ShieldSpray works nicely, we don’t bother with it very much since the spray mode usually takes care of everything.

The sprayer has a good reach that should work with most standard kitchen sinks. The absence of a ball joint doesn’t hinder the sprayer’s flexibility, thanks to the high-quality water hose. Combined with the magnetic docking feature, our experience with this faucet is mostly positive. But we do wish there was more weight to the sprayer’s retraction.

9.0 Control

Delta Faucet’s Touch2O technology is a nice addition to an already solid kitchen faucet such as the Lenta. Although the touch control can be too sensitive at times and will need some getting-used-to, it opens up more ways for homecooks to operate around the sink. There’s also an auto-shutoff feature that helps with accidental activation or forgetfulness in general.

The Lenta’s touch control requires electricity; however, manual control can be completely separated. In other words, if somehow Touch2O is disabled, you can still operate the faucet using the handle by removing the solenoid assembly and connecting the main water hose directly.

8.0 Installation

Compared to the dozen other kitchen faucets in our lab, the Delta Lenta Touch2O isn’t the most DIY-friendly. There are points in the process that can be particularly challenging such as when getting the faucet to sit on the LED base, or when you try to secure the faucet from below, but the stiff water lines make it needlessly difficult to turn the mounting nut. Not to mention the included electronic components that easily dazzle a non-technical person.

Yet, the process should be simple enough once you’re willing to see it through and figure out ways around this and that. The faucet’s 360-degree swivel also allows for a slight flexibility in setting the direction of the handle.
