Waste King L-8000 vs Moen GX100C 1 HP Garbage Disposal Side-by-Side Comparison
Overall Verdict
These two 1 HP garbage disposals are similar, except that the Waste King uses an EZ mount installation, and the Moen a 3-bolt. Both disposals are of an excellent build and quality. However, the Waste King has strengthened grinding components which supports its excellent performance with mixed scraps processing.
A key advantage of the Moen is that it is better at processing raw chicken scraps, or dealing with large quantities of bone and cartilage. On the other hand, perhaps due to the design of the grind chamber, the Waste King proved much better at processing raw fish scraps.
