Overall Verdict

The Waste King L-800 and the Amazon Commercial are two very comparable garbage disposals, even though the latter is a 1HP and the former a 1/2 HP. Both also use an EZ mount installation, and although the Waste King is considerably larger, the capacity of the Amazon grinding chamber is only slightly less. 

Not surprisingly, the Waste King is the better performer, especially for its excellent handling of mixed scraps. The issue with the Amazon is it cannot process large amounts of raw fish scraps, however, it was much better than the Waste King with raw chicken waste. If you need a decent all-rounder, the Waste King is not a bad choice, while the Amazon will fit your pocket easier while still getting the basics done.
