Moen GXS75C Host Series 3/4 HP vs Waste King L-1001 Side-by-Side Comparison

Overall Verdict
The Waste King L-1001 is not really a match for what the Moen Host GXS75C can do, but then it is a smaller 1/2 HP disposal, and a decent one at that too. The Waste King is not really meant for tougher raw meat or fish scraps, but it is good enough for smaller volumes of mixed scraps, vegetable scraps, or cooked leftovers. The Moen deals well with meat scraps, and is one of the best disposals for mixed scrapping.
The Waste King is also one of the smallest units we’ve tested, and while the overall build quality is good for the price, we found the noise levels a little overwhelming. It comes fully corded, so you may have to do some extra work if you prefer hard-wiring. Even still, the Waste King is not a bad choice for small garbage disposal, but you may prefer the all round better value and performance of the Moen.
