Moen GXS75C Host Series 3/4 HP vs Moen GX100C 1 HP Garbage Disposal Side-by-Side Comparison

Overall Verdict
If you’re dealing mainly with largely mixed scraps or cooked foods, the larger 1HP Moen may be the garbage disposal for you. However, it doesn’t deal very well with spongy material or cartilage like raw chicken or raw fish scraps. The Moen ¾ HP, however, deals much better with most scraps, especially raw chicken scraps, and is the overall better performer.
Both these disposals have a similar design with a high quality build that can be expected from Moen. For the 1 HP Moen, being larger and heavier, it is recommended that you get help with installing it, but both use a three bolt assembly which is easy enough to do. Either of these Moens offer good value, as long as you choose the right one for what you need to get done.
