Overall Verdict

The key difference between these two garbage disposals is size and power performance. The Moen can handle more and does a better job overall, but the GE puts up a comparatively good performance. For its smaller size, the GE dealt well with scrap mixes, but was not really up to handling fish scraps, although the Moen was only slightly better.  

With the Moen, you won’t go wrong with its excellent build quality and long-term value. However, the GE seems to cut corners on build and fabrication. It is also comparatively noisy with strong vibrations, and it doesn’t handle long scraps very well. Overall, the Moen offers good value for a large garbage disposal, while the GE is a reasonably good choice if you require something smaller.
