Moen GXS75C Host Series 3/4 HP vs Frigidaire 1/2 HP Corded Side-by-Side Comparison
Overall Verdict
When matched to performance, the Moen is the obvious choice here. The Frigidaire is in a smaller class of ½ HP, but still, it is really only good for mixed scraps which don’t include any raw meat or fish parts. It deals well with avocado pips, but cartilage and rubbery skin not so much. The larger Moen, understandably, deals much better with all kinds of waste, but it is still not the best choice for dealing with a lot of raw fish scraps.
Both these disposals have excellent build quality and, compared to other small units, this Frgidaire has excellent sound insulation. The only issue with the Frigidaire is that its performance is not always consistent or reliable. The Moen is the better choice here, unless you really need a small unit for a limited space.
