Moen GXS75C Host Series 3/4 HP vs Evergrind E202 1/2 HP Garbage Disposal Side-by-Side Comparison
Overall Verdict
The difference between the Moen Host GXS75C and the Emerson Evergrind E202 is the difference between a 3/4 HP and a 11/2 HP motor respectively. But, the Evergrind works on an induction motor, not a permanent magnet like the Moen, and perhaps this is why it doesn’t really measure up to much. Mixed scraps caused the motor to overheat, and it was only marginally better doing a poor job with chicken scraps.
Even if you are looking for a small-sized disposal, you’re still better off with the excellent Moen and the price difference is not that much. The only thing the Evergrind had to offer was an attractive build quality, but the internal mechanics have a lot to be desired.
