The deciding difference between the Moen GX100C 1 HP and the Waste King L-1001 is processing quantity. Both these disposals have very similar performance scores. For its larger size and greater power capacity, the Moen is better at handling large quantities of mixed scraps, while the Waste King slightly better at processing raw fish waste. 

The Moen uses a 3-bolt installation and the Waste King uses an EZ mount. If you already have a 3-bolt, the Waste King may be more of a hassle to install. The Moen is also more durable, using stainless steel for its more complex grinding parts, while the cheaper and smaller Waste King uses galvanized steel.
