Overall Verdict

The InSinkErator Badger 1 HP, using an induction motor, is more compact than the Moen GX100C and uses a more basic grinding mechanism. For mixed scraps and vegetable matter, its performance is acceptable, and it was better than the Moen at grinding down chicken bones. 

The Moen, with its higher rotation speed and better grinding mechanism deals much more effectively with mixed waste and is acceptable with raw fish scraps, something that the Badger couldn't handle. The InSinkErator 1 HP Badger is also somewhat more expensive, which makes the Moen the obvious choice.
