Overall Verdict

The Evergrind E202 is a garbage disposal which does really measure up to much, failing all of our performance tests. With that much said, the Moen GX100C is the obvious choice. Besides, the Moen is not a bad choice, its performance is average, and it can deal with most types of waste. 

The Evergreen 1/2 HP garbage disposal uses an induction motor and has basic grinding components made from less durable galvanized steel. The larger 1 HP Moen GX100C has a more complex stainless steel grinding chamber. Both use a 3-bolt installation.
