These two InSinkErators have exactly the same specs on paper. They both have 3/4 Hp induction motors, are exactly the same size with a 32 fl oz grinder chamber, and they weigh the same. The key difference, however, is that the Evolution Essential XTR uses a slightly modified and improved grinder design.

In our comparative tests, the InSinkErator Evolution Essential XTR, showed significantly better performance. This was especially true for its prowess at handling fish scraps of all kinds. These results come at a price, so it's worth mentioning both disposals are good value for money and can handle a full range of scraps.
