Overall Verdict

The InSinkErator Evolution Compact is an excellent choice, but the Amazon Commercial may suit your needs for less than half the price! In short, the InSinkErator is the better choice overall and in the long run. On the other hand, the Amazon is a good budget choice, and quite suited for a rental property or as a medium term solution.

Performance wise, the InSinkErator deals exceedingly well with raw fish scraps, something the Amazon cannot handle. With mixed scraps, the Amazon performs just as well, and even outdoes the InSinkErator with chicken scraps. The Amazon has a more powerful permanent magnetic motor and a smaller 23 fl oz grinding chamber, while the InSinkErator is a lot quieter and can handle up to 32 fl oz. However, the build quality of the Amazon did raise some concerns with how the casing grips the working machinery.
