GE GFC1020N 1 HP vs Moen GXS75C Host Series 3/4 HP Side-by-Side Comparison
Overall Verdict
The difference between these two grinders is between large and extra-large, with the GE being the bigger fit. Even so, the GE didn’t always come out tops despite its hefty price tag. The Moen proved itself slightly better at mixed scraps, and considerably better at raw chicken scraps. The GE still had the better overall performance, especially for more difficult to deal with fish bones and skin and long strips of waste, including celery stalks.
Both these garbage disposals have comparable good build quality. The GE, however, is tricker to install and you may need professional help. If you are doing a lot of hard waste, the GE does come off as rather noisy, but the Moen does well to keep levels down. The GE is a no-fuss, one fits all grinder, and if that’s what you need, the installation hassle and the price tag may be worth it.
