Oxo Compact vs Bean Envy Side-by-Side Comparison
Overall Verdict
The OXO Compact is a free-style brewer, whereas Bean Envy is an immersion filter brewer. Both brewers, however, perform equally well for style of brewing. The OXO Compact produces a full-strength cold brew concentrate, while the Bean Envy produces a weaker coffee from a brew ratio of 1:12.
Both products have excellent build quality and value. The OXO Compact has a highly effective reusable stainless steel filter, and the brew decants into a small glass carafe. Though the brew vessel is durable BPA-free plastic, it is not recommended for hot beverage brewing.
Bean Envy is a glass carafe style brewer with a stainless steel immersion filter. Its unique design has two stoppers: a stainless steel stopper for airtight brewing and a pop-up silicone one for after the filter has been decanted. The brewer also rests on a silicone base pad, which is one of the best amongst the designs we have tested.
