Bean Envy vs Coffee Gator Side-by-Side Comparison
Overall Verdict
The Bean Envy and Coffee Gator cold brew coffee makers are both good choices depending on your needs and expectations. The Bean Envy is one of our top scorers for brew quality using an immersion filter. If you have a small-sized refrigerator, however, it may not be the best fit for the door bin.
The Coffee Gator produces a much weaker brew, but it’s a good value product and fits a small refrigerator. It has a handy twist-to-pour lid design whereas the Bean Envy comes with two stoppers — one for brewing and one for post-brew decanting.
The other key difference is the filter design. The Bean Envy has a stainless steel filter, but the Coffee Gator’s is plastic and nylon. The Coffee Gator filter is not as porous so the brew quality is not as good. However, it makes up for this with a nice included stainless steel measuring spoon and a silicone funnel for pouring in grounds and water.
